Amy & Eros in Alaska

Achoo! They're here.

Eros' update...

Well the students have arrived. Today was kind of hectic. We had students start coming in at 11:00 and the last batch will be here at 3am (we're not staying up for that). I was basically a bus driver today. I went to the aiport twice to pick them up, and then I generously took two batches of kids to the local Fred Meyer (similar to Wal-mart, but a little classier) for them to go shopping. They had 45 minutes and if they were late, they had to sing a song. Would you believe that both groups were late? So they sang "row row row your boat" in the middle of the store. It was fun for me. So the kids...they like normal high school kids with a little more hip-hop than normal. I heard them greet each other twice with a big, "What's up dog?!" It was quite amusing. No pictures today, we were too busy...but hopefully tomorrow.

Amy:
Some horrid pollen from a native Alaskan plant is trying to pollinate my sinuses. I am allegic to it. Crap.
Lights out, dawg. (I'm trying to get hip to the lingo).

a little more hip-hop is the "normal" way teenagers are now-a-days. Back in my day....

Eros, hopefully this breakdown will help you with the language barrier.

1. fo' shizzle my nizzle
"fo shizzle ma nizzle" is a bastardization of "fo' sheezy mah neezy" which is a bastardization of "for sure mah nigga" which is a bastdardization of "I concur with you whole heartedly my African american brother"
