Tiny Bubbles & Painting Windows
Amy Dispatch:
So we didn't end up going to a hippie bar last night - it was too crowded and had a $6 cover for the band, and since we're now government employees that don't get paid for a month we decided against the cover. Instead, rather than choosing to get beat up for our beer money at a local joint, we went to go get some coffee and hear some music. We went to a cute little place in downtown Fairbanks, where the entertainment was a couple that turned out to play coffee house lounge music. Top that Starbucks, you jerks (sorry Michelle, but, really, can you beat that?). The photo below is of them playing Tiny Bubbles, to which they instructed patrons to aid in the ambience by blowing bubbles from those little wedding bubbles thingies. Fantastic.
Fun Factoid o' the Day:
Many of the paths between buildings on campus are gravelly. This is because when it gets below like -10 degrees salt is rendered useless on the walkways, so they have to pour gravel on them so people can walk.
Today we had another meeting and painted the windows of the dorm. Eros painted letters. I painted a stick man fishing.
