Why does Alaska have a place called Hurricane Gulch??
And yes, I am too lazy to look it up on Google....that's why you guys are up there, enlighten me.

Ok, this is a good question that neither of us thought of. I've been doing some research and all I've come up with is that there is a train crossing over Hurricane Gulch that is the tallest in Alaska and the most difficult to build, and it was built in 1921. Still no info on the reference to tropical storms. Hmm. Considering Alaska only borders the Pacific Ocean, you'd think they would have called it Typhoon Gulch, no?
